My son's employer planted 1,000 Douglas firs on a calamity area in Warsteiner last week from 100 employees. Let the forest plant, that's how today's round led there.
My son was the tour guide, which meant that we had to walk part of the way through rough, some swampy terrain with spectacular creek crossings. But it worked.

Today in the best hiking weather again turned a round.
It started from Warstein past the lime works and industrial area of Enkerbruch through fields and forest to "Hohen Stein" and "Hohler Stein" in Lörmecketal.

On the way home from our hiking holiday in Franconian Switzerland, we stopped for a short city tour in Bamberg.
From the Luitpold Bridge we made a tour through the streets and alleys of the old town up to Bamberg Cathedral.

On the penultimate day in Franconian Switzerland, it led us to the Jura-Elephant, a rock formation in the shape of a small elephant.

Did another round of digestion this afternoon. At 3° outside temperature, put on the winter jacket and off we went.
