The Dreisesselberg is a 1,333 meter high mountain in the Bavarian Forest. At the highest point of the mountain, called Hochstein, there is a striking granite rock with a summit cross. The area, which was once heavily wooded, was cleared over a large area due to bark beetle infestation. About 450 meters as the crow flies south of the summit is the Dreisesselfels, three bizarre granite rocks consisting of cushion-like boulders. Below is the three-seater house.
