Hiking

The station building of Cochem is located directly at the old town and is on the Moselle railway towards Koblenz or towards Trier. The reception building consists of quarry stone and half-timbering with smaller wings and extensions in neo-renaissance forms. The building is a major work of the Heimat style and a cultural monument due to the Monument Protection Act of Rhineland-Palatinate. The building has been in a neglected condition for years, although it was taken over by a private investor in 2013. Unfortunately nothing happens here. (Source: Wikipädia)
