Ruine Winneburg

Very elaborately restored castle complex, which you can climb from the Endert or from Faid. In any case, the castle is a highlight and offers great insights into medieval castle life and great views of Cochem and the Moselle.

The castle is relatively easy to reach and freely accessible. There is a lot to discover there. It takes some time until you have looked into every corner, every niche and who dares, can also go down the spiral staircase stone to the dungeon ;-)

It's great that this castle complex is freely accessible to everyone. We were lucky enough to be here all alone and so you could enjoy this gem, the wonderful view of Cochem and the silence! A very special place!

The Winneburg is a beautiful castle ruin that is accessible at all times and where visitors are rare. Highly recommended.

Absolute highlight !!!
Walked up to the ruins for breakfast and experienced them in a fantastic morning mood with wafts of mist in the valleys.
If I'm around I will definitely come back here.
