With the rise of tourism, the old island church became too small and the ev.-luth. The community had a new church built in 1929/30. In 1959 the church received its two aisles, in 1964/65 the church tower was raised and the previous single bell was supplemented by two more bells. Today there is room for 300 believers in this church. There is a very well-equipped "library in the tower", many handicrafts for children and adults as well as top-class concerts.
Opening times: Daily 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m. service, Sundays 11.15 a.m. children's service (during the season)
