The Steiner Gate in Krems an der Donau is a historical landmark of the city. It was built in the late 15th century and remodeled in the Baroque style in 1756. A coat of arms stone with an inscription commemorates the restoration of the fortifications after they were destroyed in 1477. The gate plays an important role in the city's history.
