Hiking

The section of the city wall is quite interesting, but it is not in a beautiful setting.

Hiking

Part of the old city wall or city wall tower of Gera that is under monument protection. Once surrounded by 5 city gates, this is the so-called last shell tower, which was repaired in 1982-84.

Hiking

Several sculptures from the GDR period around 1983 (when the city wall was also being restored) by well-known sculptors such as Markolies and other sculptors who have remained relatively unknown can be seen here.

Please only add pictures of the sculptures and not of the city wall in this highlight --> better there: Highlight komoot.de/highlight/3795070
