Pousada Viana do Castelo is located on the summit of Monte de Santa Luzia in Viana do Castelo. Due to its elevated position and grace, the hotel acts as an additional, beautifying landmark of the city of Viana do Castelo. It offers guests one of the most fantastic views in all of Portugal - high on the mountain, above the city and the Rio Lima, overlooking the Atlantic and the famous Templo de Santa Luzia, which, just a few hundred meters from the hillside, dominates the landscape and the panorama shapes.

The pousada, which is over 100 years old, is the result of the excellent restoration and restructuring of the former Hotel de Santa Luzia. The characteristic features that distinguished the hotel were retained, such as the high granite walls and the wide archways.
