The Hoffmannshöhe is the most striking and highest elevation on the Bergwitzsee and offers a beautiful view over the lake to the community of Bergwitz. The distance from Bergwitz around the lake is almost nine kilometers, and the viewpoint is halfway there. Especially in autumn, many ornithologists meet here to watch the evening arrival of thousands of bean and white-fronted geese.
