The former Baggersee Kollersee is located on the Koller island near the city of Brühl in Baden-Württemberg. With the exception of the part of the island used for tourism, the rest of the peninsula is a protected landscape area with approx. 400 hectares. There is no infrastructure such as sanitary facilities, changing rooms or a kiosk right on the lake.
The Kollerinsel itself is a left bank of the Baltic peninsula. It is almost completely surrounded by the Rhine or an Altrhein arm and comprises approx. 400 hectares.
