The San Jerónimo de la Murtra monastery is an ancient monastery of the Jerónima Order built in the Gothic style at the beginning of the 15th century. It is located in the natural environment of the Sierra de la Marina, in the municipality of Badalona in the Province of Barcelona.

When Ferdinand the Catholic, on December 7, 1492, was wounded by the regicide Juan de Cañamares on the steps of the Royal Palace of Barcelona, the monarch spent a few days recovering in the Monastery together with his wife Isabella of Castile. It was there that the Catholic Monarchs received Christopher Columbus in audience on his return from his first trip to America. This historical event took place in April 1493.

A very cool route to do, firm step with water and hiking boots.
