Schoolchildren in Bern used to be taught here. Today the school is closed, in need of renovation and quite ailing.

Since 2015 the association KuBiZ - Kultur- und Bildungszentrum Berne e.V. has been successfully campaigning for the vacant, listed school building to be used as a cultural center in Berne. The school was built between 1929 and 1930 according to plans by the architect Fritz Schumacher.
