Molinaseca is a beautiful town in the middle of nowhere. In summer season the river is full of people enjoying and refreshing themselves. It's nice to be able to find something like this after a long and hard route.

Molinaseca enjoys an attractive location next to the ancient stone bridge Puente de los Peregrinos over the rio Meruelo. Its location at the foot of the Montes de Leon made it an important stopover for pilgrims to recover from the crossing and it featured churches and a pilgrim hospital.
