The Ypres City Brewery is located in the historic casemates at the Lille Gate under the city's ramparts, the location also gave it its name.

This microbrewery has been brewing the Wipers Times beers here since 2014. This name also has historical reasons: Because this is where the British soldiers published their satirical magazine "The Wipers Times" during the First World War.
