The “In Flanders Fields Museum” has been located in the restored Cloth Hall in Ypres since 1998. The museum is impressively dedicated to the First World War in Belgium and Flanders, which, despite Belgium's neutrality, raged like in few other places. The name of the museum comes from the famous poem by the Canadian soldier John McRae, who himself had to go to battle in Flanders' fields.
