The side street towards Ortisei has the advantage that it is not a thoroughfare for motor vehicles, so it is much quieter here than e.g. on the neighboring Schauinsland. The climb up to the Eduardshöhe begins moderately, attracts from Ortisei clearly and is, if you choose as recommended here, the variant of the Kaltwasserhof, in the end crisp and steep. An attractive route and plenty of visibility in the Rhine valley is free. If you like it less steep, you can also drive over the Geiersnest to the end of the street and from there via the Eckhof to Horben.
