Well-built shelter that offers self-sufficient and tired people a shady place to rest. The neighboring memorial to the victims of both world wars is impressive. Further towards Visbek you come to a beautiful tree, the sight of which will amaze you.

The text on the memorial reads:
      Hagstedt Memorial

In 1927, the Hagstedt farming community erected a "war memorial" in the form of a Sacred Heart chapel at the entrance to the village.
The masonry of the small round building with buttresses consists of quarry stones. The cone-shaped roof is artfully covered with slates.
The interior is secured by a hand-forged gate.
In the chapel there is a statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the names of the fallen and missing of the peasantry. The First World War killed 18 men.
During World War II, 32 fathers and sons from Hagstedt fell.
      Nine are missing.
With this well-kept complex, the peasantry remembers their war dead and calls for peace.
