The old school in Halbe was renovated and opened in the summer of 2013 as an educational institution and regional office of the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge.

Hiking
Today the building houses the regional office of the German War Graves Commission. Here you can obtain information about the "Waldfriedhof Halbe" war cemetery and the battle of Halbe. A small exhibition can also be visited there by arrangement.
