At the station 1

The station is on the short stretch between the steel bridge over the Moselle and the Kaiser Wilhelm tunnel. As a result of these construction measures, the Moselle loop at Calmont (steepest vineyard in the world with a slope of 65 °) was shortened. The tunnel overcomes a height difference of fourteen meters between Eller station and Cochem. The station is outside the municipality and served more to secure the railway operation than to transport goods and people. A small half-timbered building served as a reception building. The station is advertised as the Ediger / Eller / Mosel hiking station.
