The Alpine path meanders on the western slopes of the Feldberg through a breathtaking spell forest. The stony path with its Kraxelabschnitten is only something for experienced hikers and sturdy shoes is mandatory in any case.

Path is not maintained by S.Verein, only by private. There are many trees on the way, but many are now working. There are no signs. Recently a few way signs. Partially exposed something. Alpine in the Black Forest. :-)

We regretted this path very much - also sure-footed and not afraid of heights. It starts quite harmlessly and then partly very steep and especially deep down. The path is only loose ground at these points and about 20cm wide. You climb over trees that lie across the path (it's all easy) but at one point you only have a choice: turn around or 3m up an almost vertical rock. No good grips, no fuses. The ledge below this rock is only 40-50cm wide and below it again a chasm.
Those were very dangerous and highly concentrated 1.5 hours. At no point was one rewarded with a special view. For us it was absolutely nothing! Relaxation and enjoyment is different.
Everyone else: good concentration!
