However, I myself have never experienced the summit calm, that is. If you are athletic on the road and sweaty top arrives, you should change into dry clothes or cover a windbreak. For a short time, however, the stone wall around the summit area offers a little protection.

Super 360 degree panoramic view

A fantastic all-round view, especially just before sunset the mood is mystical. However, the descent over the Rotkopf in the dark is not easy!

The bare summit offers a great all-round view. There are ascents from all sides: from the Himmelreich train station, from the Höllental via the Noppelfelsen, from Hinterzarten, from the Feldberg, several routes, including the "direct ascent" from the Zastlertal, from Weilersbach or from Kirchzarten.

On June 23rd, 2022 it's finally that time again and for a few hours there will be coffee from the Bialetti, cappuccino, cake and nice conversations in the pop-up Roverresso.

The Hinterwaldkopfhütte just below the summit is also highly recommended

Yesterday we climbed from Himmelreich via Höfener Hütte to the Hinterwaldkopf. That was a good 860 meters in altitude. It took us 3 3/4 hours. It was very worth it. Feldberg was always shrouded in clouds. 16 km route.

The climb is definitely worth it, great panoramic views over all the peaks.
