It took the artist Mogens Bøggild 9 years to turn this large sculpture with its many pigs into a pig. Today it is a bronze copy. Spec the little pig that pees has always piqued the interest of children: "So look now, now it's peeing ....!

The unveiling of the sculpture took place on July 7, 1950.
In 1978 the sow's nose was cut off, a fate that befell her twice in 1984. The decision to replace the original granite sculpture with a bronze copy was made in 1992 after repeated instances of vandalism, and the original model now stands at the Videncentret for Landbrug (Agriculture Knowledge Centre) in Skejby.
