The present-day Museum of Communication Berlin was the first postal museum in the world to be founded in 1872. At the suggestion of the then master postmaster Heinrich von Stephan, a sumptuous, prestigious building was erected on Leipziger Straße / Ecke Mauerstraße from 1893-1897, where the museum was henceforth located. With its permanent exhibition, the Museum of Communication Berlin makes the origin, development and future prospects of the information society tangible and tangible.

On display are famous objects of the collection, such as the legendary Blue Mauritius, as well as exhibits that have written communications history.
