The Trettach rises south of Oberstdorf near the Trettachspitze and is about 14 km long. From its source, it flows through the very beautiful Trettach Valley via Spielmannsau, Christlessee and Gruben to Oberstdorf, where it joins the Iller origin with Breitach and Stillach to the Iller. The Trettach Valley has a wide range of hiking opportunities, also directly along the river.
