Small park, designed by F.L.v. Sckell, the designer of the English Garden, was redesigned in the English landscape style. The buildings are used as museums and exhibition rooms (Castle Museum, Kallmann Museum), and there are always nice little exhibitions. schlossmuseum-ismaning.de, kallmann-museum.de

In front of the Kallmann Museum in the former orangery, Mutt Mullican designed a noteworthy hedge garden made of hornbeam ("topiary") for BuGa 2005, which wonderfully complements the orangery. It is still very well preserved and has developed nicely, despite all kinds of adversity from ignorant visitors.

The Schlosspark Ismaning is a listed park in the center of Ismaning (Upper Bavaria).
The park was initially laid out as a riding school garden by the Munich gardener Georg Glas in 1727/28 after the completion of the baroque redesign of Ismaning Palace.
It surrounds the castle on the western, southern and eastern sides.
The Ismaning palace pavilion was built on the western edge of the park in 1727 under the direction of the Bavarian court architect François de Cuvilliés.
In 1756/57 statues by the sculptor Ignaz Günther were erected in the park.
These figures no longer exist today.
Around 1816/17 the castle park was redesigned into an English-style landscaped garden.
In 1983 the neoclassical orangery erected in the northwestern part of the complex was demolished.
At the beginning of the 1990s, a modern museum building was built in its place, which is based on the appearance of the orangery.
The Kallmann Museum opened in it in 1992.
Only the western part of the park's original enclosure has survived.

Small castle park with a museum in the orangery - not everything really fits together stylistically (buildings, plants, etc.), but it's nice to take a walk through here.
