As the most beautiful farm in Tyrol, the state curator Dr. Franz Caramelle called the Haidachhof from Brandenberg (1722). It is a typical two-story Unterinntaler Einhof, consisting of a residential wing and a stable and farm building. The owners of the ancestral farm had wanted to replace the farm with a new one for a long time, but the monument protection authorities did not give permission for this. Schönbrunn Zoo bought the farm, demolished it, numbered all parts precisely and rebuilt them piece by piece in the zoo. This means that the zoo has a unique attraction with a high scientific value. In the stables of the Tirolerhof not only breeds of domestic animals threatened with extinction are cared for, but also how to deal with these animals is clearly presented.

As early as 1802, Archduke Johann, a brother of Emperor Franz II/I, had a Tyrolean-style farm built here for farming. He also gave the adjoining area its name, Tirolergarten.

In 1803, Archduke Johann of Austria (1782–1852) built a Tyrolean farmhouse in the palace park on the hill on which the Gloriette stands in the center. He ran a small cattle farm and laid out an alpine garden. After the end of the monarchy, the farm became a popular excursion inn. In 1984 the dilapidated buildings were demolished. In 1994 the hereditary farm of the Neuhauser family from Brandenberg in Tyrol, which has been under monument protection since 1986, was set up in the Tyrolean Garden. There has been a restaurant there since 1997.
