Hiking
The Romanesque portal tympanum dates from this period. With the Reformation, the church became Protestant. In 1543, the area around Gerstungen became the property of the noble Hanstein family. Epitaphs on the west side of the church commemorate this.
The church fell into disrepair during the Thirty Years' War. Starting in 1667, it was restored to Protestant use and received the present galleries and pulpit.
