The choir tower church is dedicated to Saint Margaret. Her face smiles down from the keystone in the choir vault. The late Gothic choir is the oldest part of the church. The nave was extended in 1613 and 1676. Around 1700, the church received its richly decorated Baroque pulpit. The simple galleries date from the 19th century, as does the valuable organ by Peternell.

The focus of attention is on the altarpiece from 1510. Reliefs expressively narrate the Passion of Christ. The main panel in the center depicts the Crucifixion. The left wing shows Christ on the Mount of Olives and carrying the cross. The right wing depicts the Lamentation and Resurrection. The altarpiece testifies to the pre-Reformation piety of the church. The figures engage the viewer with eye contact. The robes imitate the fashion of the time. Thus, the biblical story took on a connection with the present-day churchgoers who witnessed the Passion of Christ. Contemplating the suffering of Christ served the salvation of souls.
