The lookout tower at Mechower See is located on the northwestern shore and is accessible from Mechow. It offers a magnificent view over the glacial Rinnensee. For waterfowl, Mechow Lake is a paradise. Numerous duck and goose species live here. And with a bit of luck, even the white-tailed eagle can be observed. Thus, the silent observer with binoculars and camera certainly succeed in many rare and unforgettable sights.
On the way to the observation tower, the beautiful kink landscape offers splendid sights, especially at the heyday of the sloe in the spring. The beheaded black poplars on the roadside are both a rustic path scenery as well as habitat for wood dwellers. A hike around Lake Mechow is also a journey through time. The lake is a former border area. A circular walk around the lake is shown.
