The sacristy is a square building under a tent roof (artificial slates). Against the east side wall there is a portal under a saddle roof; this portal formed the connection with the choir of the disappeared abbey church. The construction date of the sacrament chapel behind the choir of the disappeared church is 1661. This building was a sacristy with the supplies for the Eucharist and the monstrance with the Blessed Sacrament of Miracle was also kept here. The chapel is open from Tuesday to Saturday. Sunday, every time from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Sacrament Chapel Herkenrode, dating from 1661, is a small building added to the eastern apse of the disappeared abbey church of the former Herkenrode Abbey. The chapel has a portal that formed a connection with the choir of the abbey church. The building was used as a sacristy with the necessities for the Eucharist or functioned as a devotional chapel for the displayed Sacrament of the Miracle. The motto, date and coat of arms of Abbess Anna Catharina de Lamboy can be seen on the inside of the dome.
