Some of the almost 300-year-old boundary stones accompany us on our way. They can tell exciting stories of kingdoms, bishoprics and counties and many quarrels.

We would like to thank the Rodenbacher History Association for the friendly encounter and information about many things worth knowing. We recommend a visit to the local history museum and a guided tour of the historic old town.

The site of the Friends of Nature House was acquired by the local group in Hanau in 1958, and on June 16, 1968, after 6 years of construction, the Friends of Nature House was inaugurated, mostly by volunteers (11,500 hours of work).
The house has been rebuilt and expanded again and again and thus adapted to changing requirements.
The club house with accommodation (35 beds) is run by the members on a voluntary basis with heart and soul and a lot of commitment. The club restaurant is open on Saturdays from 3 p.m. and on Sundays from 11 a.m.
