    Swirling wave art object in the forest by Faxe M. Müller Kunst am Spessartbogen

    At the edge of the forest in Oberrodenbach above the Naturfreundehaus you can see "painted" trees from a distance. Its bark is provided with small and large-scale lime paints, seemingly arbitrarily set and incoherent. A small dwarf, arrows, hooks, and other graphic symbols of hiking signs add to the confusion. Their meaning remains hidden. Only with the approach to the point of the central perspective (single seat) do the paintings increasingly condense and overlap: the "Wobbling wave", the symbols as a dazzling work, is revealed as a coherent image motif. The work of art is temporary, the painting will naturally fade over time, being torn by the growth of the trunks. This process is an expression of change and impermanence. The "wavy wave" stimulates the examination of the natural processes of decay. The perception expands by the time factor.         Art at the Spessartbogen - Temporary tree painting with lime paints

        When the viewer approaches the forest art area, the painting can be seen from a distance. At first only differently sized tree paintings are perceptible, which appear to be arbitrarily placed. The meaning remains hidden from the viewer. The seeming incoherence of the paintwork initially appears abstract and puzzles. The viewers are encouraged to constantly change their perspective by changing their location. Only when the viewer approaches the point of the central perspective do the paintings condense and overlap. A permanently installed seat facilitates the solution to the puzzle. From this central perspective, the total work of art of the tree painting emerges as a coherent image motif.
