In 1843, the Dammendorf pine seed kiln was built in the area of the Royal Prussian Forestry Office.

The bottom floor of the kiln building contained the master's apartment.

The kiln in Dammendorf certainly does not have to have been economical enough. The increasing demand could no longer be adequately met, which was why before the First World War in Prussian forestry there were only large kilns in Klausenau for eastern Prussia and kilns in Annaburg for the southern provinces, and the kiln in Dammendorf was abandoned The inventory of the kiln and all accessories were dismantled and sold under the supervision of the then head forester Carl Hildebrand.

Today the new owners have restored the buildings on the acquired property and made it into a home and holiday home for themselves
