A large, restored mill wheel stands in front of the mill on the mill canal and beautifies the square on the Glems with its benches.

The mill was first mentioned around 1350. Around 1500, the famous humanist Johannes Reuchlin owned part of the mill, which was also called the "SchlossmĂŒhle" from 1524 onwards. The mill was owned by the Siegle family from 1689 to 1851. It was sold to Andreas Burger from Iptingen in 1851. It has been owned by the MĂŒller family since 1928. The mill has a mill shop.

The castle mill is a flour mill.

The mill was first named around 1350 as "SchnurrenmĂŒller's MĂŒlln". Around 1500 the famous humanist Johannes Reuchlin owned a part of the mill, which from 1524 was also called "Castle Mill". From 1689 to 1851 it was owned by the Siegle family. In 1851 it was sold to Andreas Burger from Iptingen. It has been owned by the MĂŒller family since 1928.

The 300 meter long MĂŒhlkanal, branched off to the left of the Glems, once fed three overshot water wheels, each 0.55 m wide and 2.20 m high. In 1875 the three existing water wheels were replaced by a single overshot water wheel. In 1905 the mill had a 2.41 m high and 2.23 m wide overshot water wheel with a gradient of 2.59 m and a raw power of 15.2 HP at 440 l / s water flow. In 1935/36, Eugen MĂŒller replaced the damaged water wheel with an Ossberger turbine with a capacity of 440 l / s and increased the usable gradient to 2.86 m. In 1953 the old turbine was exchanged for a new Ossberger turbine.

The eaves half-timbered building dates from the 18th century. It was renovated in 1906 and 1977.
