The city of Lausanne has the privilege of owning a royal Thai pavilion in Denantou Park, one of the most beautiful green spaces in the city on the shores of Lake Geneva. The building was erected in 2007 by Thai artisans in collaboration with the Office of Parks and Green Spaces.
Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, daughter of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand, who had lived in Lausanne, presided over the inauguration ceremonies of the pavilion on March 17, 2009. The film "Royalement nôtre" shows the history and construction of the pavilion.
