Hiking

The Herz-Hesu church in Schildgen is a great example of modern church construction. Today's star architect Gottfried Böhm designed various church buildings in a similar style in the 1950s and 1960s, before he became world-famous for his so-called concrete rocks. In the church in Schildgen, concrete architecture merges with traditional forms of church construction to form a unique building. Even the simple interior is worth a visit. In addition, the church is also official station on the Rhenish Way of St. James and in the anteroom, all pilgrims get their stamp.
