Here used to be a castle, but there is hardly anything left to see. Only the moat indicates that a castle once stood here. On the top there is a billboard and a bench. However, the visibility is quite modest due to the wooded summit.
    From Wikipedia:
The castle is today an unkempt ruin, which still shows the traces of an excavation by the Swabian Albverein in 1913 under Konrad Albrecht Koch. The most important finds of this excavation have disappeared. They were kept for a long time in the town hall in Kuchen, before they were thrown away during a conversion. Parts of the finds are in the Heimatmuseum Geislingen. The finds date mainly to the late 14th century, but the castle is said to have been destroyed in 1311.

It is true, was slightly disappointed that there is no ruin to be seen, but the wall is recognizable.

The ruin stands on a southern edge of the Filstal, on the 665 meter high peak mountain. Only a few remains of the wall have survived from the castle.
The family of the Spitzenberger, who belonged to the relatives of the Zähringer and the Counts of Helfenstein, was named after her. A well-known representative of the family was Bishop Gottfried von Spitzenberg.
