Today an easier round: The Siebenmühlental.
Has been on the plan for a long time and more likely for spring / summer, but is also nice in winter.
The flames at the barbecue area provided the summer warmth. So, stick bread with sausages and mulled wine were today's highlight! Thanks to Ralph for the spontaneous idea and preparation.

Today, once again, a blank spot on the hiking map has been erased: The northern Alb around Deggingen.
It started above Auendorf. Over the Degginger Berg past the Weißjura rocks to the Brunnbühlfels. Great rock formations in the beautiful autumn forest and a great view ... uh, ok that was completely missing on the whole tour today. Instead, the whole landscape lay in fairytale clouds of fog - including the northern Alb rock, which we climbed directly from Deggingen.
But still a beautiful and varied hike with a repetitive character with better visibility in the coming spring / summer.

We have already crossed the Strümpfelbachtal several times - but this time we started from the other side of Mannenberg via the Grenzweg.
The weather was a bit cloudy, but everything was bright and colorful because of the autumn colors.
Most of the time we were on narrow forest trails, with a lot up and down. Especially the route over the Grenzweg to the entrance of the Strümpfelbachtal was beautifully varied with some ups and downs. And of course because of the encounter with the alpacas, who were very careful at first and then contacted us.

Nice little autumn tour on great hiking trails through a brightly colored forest landscape. In between, the sun kept coming out. All in all, very relaxing. Only the last part of the Pionierweg was closed due to forest work, but you could quickly switch to the higher path via the adjacent meadow.

Today we started at 8 a.m., because the hike was a combination of two of my favorite tours and it was therefore longer:
Under the bluest sky and in sunny autumn weather, the hike first ran over the viewing and climbing rocks around Oberböhringen and then down to Hausen around the Weigoldsberg and over the nature reserves of Dalisberg, Haarberg and Wasserberg to the Wasserberghaus. The visit here wasn't actually part of the tour, but fortunately we rescheduled the second half in between and extended it to almost 30 km.
At the Wasserberghaus there were lentils, spaetzle and string sausages for strengthening.
So the remaining kilometers were no longer an issue and we also added the circumnavigation of the Fränkel.
An all-round great hike, I think the pictures speak for themselves.

Due to the sunny autumn weather around the Leinecksee, we had a great hike today. And in addition to tasting the liquid specialties brought back from the Black Forest tour last Thursday, currywurst and French fries from the kiosk at Eisenbachstausee made a big contribution!

      Black Forest - always beautiful!
Also applies 100% to today's hike: fourth stage of the Murgleitersteig. This leads from Schönmünzach over the Huzenbachsee to Baiersbronn.
We parked at the train station in Baiersbronn and took the train to Schönmünzach. The fourth stage of the Murgleiter begins right near the train station. This first leads over the eastern side of the Murg valley to Schwarzenberg. At first everything was still in the fog, from the Mähder Brunnen it started to clear up. In Schwarzenberg you cross the railway line and the Murg again and it goes up again in the direction of Huzenbachsee. On the shores of this idyllic lake, you could enjoy the midday sun in absolute silence before going up the steep and alpine-looking path up to the Huzenbacher Seeblick.
The next highlight followed again in the form of the wonderful hiking trail through the Kleemiss high moor. On this path you also pass the highest point of the hike at 960 m a.s.l.
Then it's back down to the Tonbachtal - mostly over beautiful, narrow forest paths.
And since it was just so beautiful, towards the end we decided to take the observation tower of the Rinkenberg with us (this is actually at the beginning of the fifth stage of the Murgleiter). By climbing there over the saddle track we came to almost 1000 meters in altitude and over 25 km of distance on this hike.
      Conclusion: highly recommended!

Today lunch was in the foreground: we went to the "Gässles-Stüble" in Hessigheim, where we could enjoy delicious new wine and roast beef on the terrace on the great sunny autumn day.
And when I was down there, of course, it went back through the rock gardens.

Meanwhile our annual traditional tour at the end of September / beginning of October. Today, with the great weather, it's really great again: With a great view of the vineyards on the Kappelberg and Württemberg, lots of grapes to "try" and of course a stop in the broom in Obertürkheim with hearty delicacies and Trollinger - what more do you need ?!

If I walk to the polling station today, I thought to myself, then I can just do a lap over the Hessigheim rock gardens. So after the little cross go towards Käsberg with a great view of the Neckar loop. I only brushed against the Käsberg pulpit because of the crowd and went straight through the vineyards towards the rock gardens. They were of course well attended today. I didn't even get down to the rocks because there was a lot of climbing activity and there were a lot of walkers down there.
Fortunately, my regular break rock further back was free and so I was able to enjoy my lunch break in the sunshine and with a wonderful view.
Since it drew a bit again, I went further and when I walked into the first piece of forest it also started to drizzle. However, I almost ran through the forest because thousands of small mosquitoes are following you there at the moment!
The drizzle at the end, however, never got too strong and so it was a really nice hike in familiar areas again.
