The Liebfrauen Basilica in Trier is the oldest Gothic church in Germany and the parish church of the Liebfrauen parish. Built in the high Gothic style by French architects, it is hard to beat in terms of filigree beauty and Gothic elegance. The floor plan has the shape of a Greek rose.
