The legacy of the Pauline pastor Friedrich von Kloschinsky (1827–1908) provided considerable financial resources, so that the church could be furnished with high-quality architectural sculptures by Willy Meller from Cologne and Gustav Sobry from Trier. The church's furnishings and windows were also made as elaborate individual pieces based on designs by the architect and his colleague Peter Gracher.
