We reach the Evangelical Monastery of Zehdenick.There is a small market for arts and crafts in the inner courtyard.Information boards tell us about the different parts of the building.From the back we see the old ruins of the monastery church, densely overgrown.Right in front of it is a small herb garden.We stand in the ruins once around.Now we enter the museum.
There is a lot to read here.Zehdenick was first mentioned in documents in 1216.We learn a lot about the monastery, built from 1250, monastic life and the Zehdenick altar cloth, which was created around 1300.The monastery was badly damaged in the Thirty Years' War, but is now an Evangelical Monastery.Out again, the gate to the cemetery has just been opened, lushly overgrown, in the shimmering sun, the birds singing beguiling.Here is the whole hike
