We reach the Evangelical Monastery of Zehdenick.

There is a small market for arts and crafts in the inner courtyard.

Zehdenick was first mentioned in documents in 1216.

We learn a lot about the monastery, built from 1250, monastic life and the Zehdenick altar cloth, which was created around 1300.

The monastery was badly damaged in the Thirty Years' War, but is now an Evangelical Monastery.

Out again, the gate to the cemetery has just been opened, lushly overgrown, in the shimmering sun, the birds singing beguiling.
