Pian delle Femene Saddle

From the saddle of the Femene plateau you have an incredible view of the Po plain in front of you. When the weather is clear, you can see as far as the Mediterranean Sea, while the chain of the Belluno Dolomites rises behind you to the north.

Located between Mount Cor and Boral, surrounded by rounded hills, Pian delle Femene is remembered as one of the places of the partisan resistance during the Second World War. Here, in September 1944, during the massive Nazi-fascist roundup, the Mazzini and Tollot brigades joined to reach Pian Cansiglio, base of the Garibaldi assault division. Today, in addition to a stele in memory of those events, we can find the resistance museum named after Agostino Piol, gold medal for military valor, and the monument to the Partisan Woman by sculptor Gianni Pezzei.
