The permanent exhibition in the Citizens' Museum is based on key themes in order to highlight the special features of Wolfenbüttel's town and town history: becoming a town in the shadow of the residence, waterways, industrialization, bourgeois life in the 19th and 20th centuries with the two world wars, economic miracles and urban redevelopment up to and including the presence. Admission is free.
