The Antwerp Whisperers is a monumental combination of 5 larger than life statues installed on the roof and against the facade of a renovated warehouse on Godefriduskaai and on Willemdok near the MAS. The Whisperer - the statue set up on the roof of the warehouse; whispers personal and general messages that are picked up by the statue at the bottom of the dock. The images are the brainchildren of the Kempen artist Daisy Boman, who is no stranger to the art world with her universal Bomannjes.

A personal message
You can have De Antwerpse Whisperer whisper a personal message for a loved one, a (grand)child, a (grand)parent, an acquaintance visiting Antwerp, etc. You first record that message yourself via the free app “De Whisperer”. (Recording and sending a message costs 1.99 euros. Packages are also available, making the price per message cheaper). The person for whom the message is intended can – after entering a personal code – listen to the message to De Antwerpse Whisperer at the Willemdok. The Antwerp Whisperer also has a pre-recorded message ready for every passer-by. These messages, which can be heard in Dutch, English and French, are updated monthly. They are put together by the Whispering Council, a small society that guarantees messages that make you think or put a smile on your face. Listening to these general messages is free.
