If people want to take pictures of themselves at the famous signs, please, but the nicer pictures can be found after walking upwards for 10 minutes.

For me (Corona time Dec 2021) no rush on the signs. That was a good thing. Also a shame that there is a street down there. Makes the atmosphere less beautiful with tourists in beach outfits. Doesn't fit here. You should only be able to reach this place via the trail. Ostriches, antelopes, baboons and seals were seen at the cape. A very special place on earth. All ships between Asia-Europe had to pass through here before the Suez Canal was built.

On the peninsula south of Cape Town you will find the Cape of Good Hope.

It's not the southernmost point of Africa - that's Cape Agulhas - but it's a magnet and a place you should not miss.

But beware: the weather is changing fast!

When we were at the Cape Point Lighthouse, was still the best weather, the 2.5 km further on the actual cape have already brought rain.
