The stone church was built in the late Romanesque style in the 13th century. The building material for the construction of the nave and the choir were ice age boulders, which were hewn square. The church tower was built in the Baroque style in the first half of the 18th century. In 1887 the church was extensively rebuilt. The nave was completely dismantled and rebuilt. An eaves cornice was added.

Small fieldstone church from the 13th century. The church in Bücknitz has undergone extensive renovation work during its existence. You can see the different styles of church building very well. The tower itself is Gothic, while the tower roof and the white color are Baroque.

The village church Bücknitz is a built in the 13th century field stone church with a neat Baroque tower from the early 18th century and is by this combination of architectural styles very pretty to look at.
