20 years of Theater Extra in Essen Borbeck. That is 20 years of theater work full of idealism and motivation. Founded in Essen in 1989, Theater Extra has been working in the premises of the Borbeck moated castle without interruption. The ensemble, which currently has around twenty members, is made up of professional and non-professional actors. In the theater season, which lasts from September to May at Theater Extra, the theater works through a fixed program, which usually includes a performance almost every Saturday at 7 p.m.
