The Vischpoort is located near the port of Elburg. The gate was built in the first half of the 15th century. After Elburg received city rights, not only city walls were built around the city, but also four defense towers. Fun fact: originally the Vischpoort was a closed wall, without a gate. This gate was only realized in 1592. The Vischpoort is the only remaining gate of all the gates that once stood here. So take a good look at it!
