In 1783, the Hexenburg was noted for the first time on the mile sheet and electoral maps. The castle-like farmstead was built over a horseshoe-shaped and connected cellar complex with vaults that may have come from different construction phases. The structure was designed with 12 gates, 52 doors and 365 windows, which correspond to the months, weeks and days of a calendar year. The naturalization of the name “Hexenburg” can be explained by strange signs and stone carvings on the outer facade that indicate Masonic influences.
