This house stands at the end of a lime tree avenue, hence the name. It used to be used as winter quarters for the temperature-sensitive plants - so it could also be called an orangery. In the 19th century it was converted into a residential building, later a meeting room was created on the ground floor and guest rooms were created on the upper floor.

The name Lindenhaus goes back to its location at the end of a linden avenue that runs parallel to the

park wall ran. After being cut down in the 1980s, they were replanted in 1993. The building, erected at the beginning of the 18th century, was originally known as the "Myrtenhaus" (a

(another term for "orangery"), because the numerous potted plants that were set up in the park were stored here over the winter months.

The Lindenhaus was converted into a residential building in the 19th century. It was surrounded by an old stock of trees and a magnificent ornamental garden, which, with trimmed boxwood hedges, yew trees and beds, was used, among other things, to display new rose varieties.

On the other side of today's park wall, next to the Lindenhaus, was a gardener's house with a similar architecture. It was demolished in the late 1970s and replaced with a modern apartment building.
